The blog will be a chart of my process and progress of my mission to become a published writer. Because the more we write the more we realise how much we have yet to learn - I'm here to learn - with every word, sentence and paragraph.
...So why not join me? After all, as writers we are all serving our apprenticeship. From those of us who are only just starting out on our journey, to those who've written for many years - published or unpublished. The one thing that binds us is that we all write. But it can be a lonely and frustrating business - so I've decided to set up this website as a space where myself and other writers can enjoy sharing the trials and tribulations of the writer's life with like-minded folk.
The Academy will be an interactive environment filled with tips, tricks and exercises - the aim of which is to help us overcome those writers' demons: procrastination, writer's block, lack of routine and ebbing enthusiasm.
The lofty aim of this website is to provide myself and other 'Apprentice Writers' with an interactive and supportive atmosphere in which to practice our craft.
Great News!
My writing buddy has agreed to get on board and join me in the building and running of 'The Apprentice Writer'. As a published writer, Marit will be a valuable asset in taking this website forward.
We will now both be posting in the Blog, keeping you up to date on our progress. Marit will be posting under 'The Would-be Novelist' as that is her goal, and I will continue to post under 'The Apprentice Writer.'
This mean's that 'The Apprentice Writer' is now a Mother - Daughter team. And we are looking forward to turning our writing team into a writing community.
